Born amidst the rolling hills of Turriff, Scotland, I embarked on a transformative journey to New Zealand in 1961, seeking new opportunities and adventures. My academic foundation was laid at Aberdeen University, where I met my husband—a partnership that has flourished through decades of shared dreams and achievements. Together, we raised three wonderful daughters while navigating a fulfilling career in education.
Our professional journey brought us to various corners of New Zealand, where we both held significant leadership roles—being the first married couple to serve as Principal and Deputy Principal in the same school. After a gratifying career dedicated to shaping young minds, we transitioned into a peaceful lifestyle on a picturesque block, savoring the beauty of nature and family life before finally settling into an apartment near our youngest daughter.
My literary journey began as a personal exploration, playing with verse for my own amusement. What started as a hobby has blossomed into the publication of my second book—a collection of verses I hope will resonate with readers. Join me as I share my reflections on life, love, and the everyday moments that inspire us all.
